“Thanks for all the helpful hints. It’s not that I’m a pie cook or anything. I found your site by accident when I had a typo trying to get to Penelopepeapods. But whatever, I think some of the stories are mildly amusing; and my girlfriend bakes. So last week she was going on about how she was always getting egg shells in the bowl, and I just jumped in with the trick about tapping the shell with the edge of a knife to get a clean crack (Totally Cracked). Now every time she bakes a pie and doesn’t have to mess with bits of shell, I’m a hero. Thanks, P.”Yeah, great. Anyone else?
